This case involved a paramedic, who was getting out of an ambulance while on duty. She stepped onto the ground and twisted her knee.  Shortly after the injury she had surgery on her knee, yet she continued to have ongoing pain.  A physician recommended that she have another knee surgery, which was not authorized by the insurance company.  The case settled for $72,500.
