Powers Law Group has represented hundreds of patients and their families as well as healthcare workers in nursing home facilities, including this one in Macon. Unfortunately,  poor safety practices and lax standards are common in nursing homes and assisted living centers throughout the State of Georgia. We pray for the 90 residents and healthcare workers who have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus at Pruitt Health Macon, most especially for the loved ones of the six residents who have perished due to their illness. Sadly, this was preventable. We should do more, as a society, for those in our community who cannot care for themselves.

The trial lawyers at Powers Law Group prosecute claims of nursing home abuse and neglect for both residents and the health care workers who are forced to enforce corporate policies that put both parties at great risk for harm. Sadly, there are large corporations, such as Pruitt Health, that are making calculated decisions to value money and profit over health and safety. It is our job to hold them accountable for these decisions.
